Hello, world! I'm Hannah Kang, creator and founder of Om Yoga. I have always been active, curious, and fascinated by diverse cultures experiences. After hearing about yoga for years, I took my first class in 2012, and immediately was drawn to the physical and mental benefits I felt in my life. I found myself more centered, a bit more calm and at peace with mentally, while also coming to understand the strengths and limits of my physical body. I immersed myself into Yoga, practicing almost daily in my first year as a yogini. I loved learning to control my competitive ego, and that it is okay to fall out of a pose and laugh about it. It was this notion of playfulness and the humility that has brought me falling deeply in love with Yoga. I started teacher training in 2016 mainly to broaden and expand my practice. I wasn’t sure if teaching would be right for me, but I was excited to continue deepening my practice. The training was intense yet beautiful. I unearthed new discoveries about who I am as a person, deepening my understanding of my own journey in life and learning to embrace keeping my mind open. I also discovered the joy of teaching through many hours of co-teaching, private teaching, and assisting. Teaching has opened my practice to perspectives I would never have found on my own. Each pose can be modified to fit each individual's need and his/her range of motion and as a whole, we're all collectively tapping into the same Prana. Yoga has become an integral part of my life, and I am so happy to share it with the world.
